Antonia Guajardo holds a Master's in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. She is dedicated to creating safe, affirming, and transformative environments for healing. Antonia works with individuals, couples, and families who are facing relationship challenges, trauma, chronic illness, and life transitions.
Antonia is a published author whose work focuses on social justice, particularly regarding incarceration, sexual assault, and the lasting effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Her writing and counseling practice demonstrate her passion for advocacy and her belief in the resilience of the human spirit.
Antonia, who lives with endometriosis, has firsthand experience and specialized insight into the emotional and relational challenges posed by invisible illnesses. She is susceptible to the needs of clients dealing with chronic pain, misunderstood diagnoses, and medical trauma.
As a proud member of the Kankakee LGBTQ+ Network, Antonia is committed to providing affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and fostering equity and belonging within her community. Her counseling approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in authenticity, compassion, and curiosity.
