Jessica Lackey is a counseling intern currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School. She comes to the counseling profession after more than 20 years in education as an elementary teacher and social-emotional learning interventionist, experiences that shaped both her clinical interests and her belief in the power of safe, trusting relationships to support healing and growth.
Jessica works with children, adolescents, families, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, academic and school-related concerns, attachment challenges, foster care and adoption-related experiences across the lifespan, and major life transitions. She approaches counseling through a trauma-informed, client-centered, and strengths-based lens, valuing emotional safety, collaboration, and authenticity. Jessica is especially mindful of how early experiences and loss can impact individuals across the lifespan and is committed to walking alongside clients at their own pace through the healing and growth process.
