Matt describes himself as a people person. He completed his undergraduate psychology and graduate counseling programs at Governors State University. Much of Matt's work focuses around LGBTQ+ work, identity development and trauma, including extensive experience in sexual trauma work. He has personal and professional experience in child welfare systems and a range of mental health challenges. Matt has lots of experience with adolescents and works with ages 10 to 100. Matt sees the therapy setting as a place to come and unclench your jaw, relax your shoulders and come as you are. He views you as the expert of your experience and himself as a sounding board for choices and solutions. He prioritizes self-care and self-esteem as the path toward healing and helps his clients care for themselves.
